The top 10 places in Strasbourg to take pictures
If you ever stop by Strasbourg or live in this city and are a fan of Instagram, then this article is for you. I spend a lot of time in this city and I love taking photos here and there. We often ask me where are my photos taken. I figured it would be nice to post an article about my top 10 places to take the best photos in Strasbourg.
La petite France
If you’re looking to have this viewpoint it is simple, you just have to go in front of the restaurant “La Corde à Linge ” you cannot miss him it, follow the crowd of “tourists” and you’ll be there!
A key spot for your Instagram feed! To reproduce this famous photo you’ll have to stand the farthest possible of the cathedral and in the middle of the street. (The closest tram stop is Homme de Fer)
Le lycée International des Pontonniers
Often called the Harry Potter’s school, this beautiful building deserves to appear in the top 10. You will find this high school a few meters away from the tram stop: Gallia (1 rue des Pontonniers)
Le Parc de l’Orangerie
With its 26 hectares of green, the peaceful park of the Orangery is the main green space of the city of Strasbourg. On the lake you can find some boats and several small iice-cream, waffles and crêpes shops.
Saint Paul’s Church
The Saint-Paul’s church is situated in the intersection of quays Zorn and Mullenheim, at the edge of Aar and of Ill. To make simpler you can take the tram, get off at Gallia and you’ll see the church. This church was built at the end of the 19th century during the annexation and became an historical monuments since May 4th, 1998.
Petite France’s house
A classic in Strasbourg: the house located right in the middle of the island. It’s my biggest crush! The address is 3 Ponts Couverts, you cannot miss it.
The mosaic at Les Boutiques de l’Aubette
This mosaic isn’t really know in Strasbourg but I think it is a very beautiful spot you can post about with the famous #IHaveThisThingWithFloors.To find it you can go to 4 Rue de la Haute Montée between the ZARA and Hema store. It is located very near the tram stop : Homme de Fer.
Le barrage Vauban
The panoramic terrace of the dam “Vauban” is a place to be visited in Strasbourg! Classified as “Historic Monument”, the dam is located in the Petite France district.
The wall with the small red hearts
The famous street of the small hearts is located 29 rue du Fossé-des-Tanneurs just next to the Indigo parking lot. The closest tram stop is Homme de Fer. Have fun!
L’ami Shultz – Bierstub is a type of brasserie(brewery) who is typical to Alsace and Germany. The colors of walls change all the time according to the season. The ideal seasons for photos are in autumn and spring. L’ami Shultz can be found in the Petite France. Here is the address: 1 rue Pont Couverts (and the tram stop is Langstross Grand rue)
Here was the most “instagrammable” places in Strasbourg. Don’t forget that everything is beautiful to photograph in this city. Everything depends on the angle you have, the lighting etc… The possibilities are infinite so play with your creativity.
